May 15, 2024July 21, 2024 Minimalist baby: Your beach essentials Taking your baby to the beach is a fun and exciting experience! As a minimalist parent, I wanted to bring as little as possible to the beach. My priorities were safety and easy to clean toys as my baby is still teething and eating everything they can pick up. I live very close to the beach, so I also wanted to make sure I can just put everything in a bag or in the push chair. I have had many people ask me questions about my items on the beach, even those who do not have babies! With the right items, you can set up incredibly quickly and have baby out the pushchair and enjoying the beach in no time! You can add these items onto an amazon wish list, here. Baby UV Protect Beach Tent A baby beach tent is a minimalist baby must have. It provides shelter from the sun, wind and rain. It also provides a clean space for babies to play and nap without getting sand everywhere, or eating it! I have used ours on a golden sandy beach and a rocky beach and it made everything pleasant. It pops up in seconds, and folds down in seconds into a nice little bag. Minimalist Baby Toys Until the little babies can use the beach as their play ground, I bring some toys that I know my baby likes and that I can clean easily if they end up sandy. These toys are small, smooth, and can fit in her nappy bag. I usually bring one noisy toy, her favourite disc toy, and a stacking toy. I avoid fabric toys and use wooden that can wipe clean and dry quickly. Keep the toys large so they are easy to pack up. I adore these hats for when our baby is not in the tent. There are many baby suits which also provide extra protection when baby leaves the tent and goes in the sea. We use reusable nappies, so this option is great if your baby goes in the water! Read our nappy journey here. Nappy Bag Essentials Pack your nappy bag in advance for your beach trip! I usually always have these items in my bag and just double check everything is ready before we go. reusable nappies and swim nappy for the beach. Nappy liners and protective liner (I usually put them together). Baby water bottle with lid. Toys (listed above). portable Bidet for washing baby and toys. Waterproof wet bag for nappies, clothes, and more. My Favourite Pushchair When I go to the beach, the weather is often dry and I opt for my BabyZen YoYo pushchair. I hang my nappy bag on two clips on the handle and use a hook to hang the tent and my water bottle. I avoid putting things in the bottom so that I can fold the pram up to act like a shoulder bag to carry on the beach. This is my favourite pram to use. It also takes very little space in my home. You can fold and unfold it very easily and place it in a bag. The company had many accessories that you can attach to suite the weather. From sunny to wet to snow. They are light, compact, and can be taken for free on planes if you want to go to a beach in a different country. My BabyZen YoYo Pushchair. YoYo Sun Parasol . Rucksack to put pram in (it comes with a default shoulder strap anyway). YoYo Rain cover. TiL Beach minimalismintentional livingminimalismminimalistminimalist babyMinimalist mumorganisezero waste
