Welcome to Flacon of Oats. If you are new, welcome! You will find posts relating to growth and how I am practising to live simply. Over the years I discovered various influences which have changed how I think: Zero Waste Living, Minimalism, Swedish Death Clean, and mindfulness.
Flacon of Oats is intended as a metaphor which encapsulates the idea that we are a vessel that continuously has new elements added to it. Oats, said to be beneficial for health, is the vehicle for knowledge.
About the Writer
As I write, I am a new and first time mum to a beautiful baby girl. We live in a coastal town in walking distance from a vibrant art town and two beaches. I first discovered living with less before I met my partner and had already began my journey. Later, I shared my learning with him and together we are trying to live more simply. Since parting with many objects and items, we have reduced our stress, liberated our time, and pursue our hobbies.
Read more about how I came across minimalism here: From Maximalism to Minimalism.
Our journey began with reducing our storage items. We donated what we do not use, use what we have or borrow before we get something new. If we need to buy something new, we take time in choosing an item that hopefully last a long time.
From a love of learning and reading, Flacon of Oats intends to enlighten readers by opening their minds to various ways to live simply. It will be incredible to help one or more readers learn something new, or reflect on how they want to live.
